7 External Customers When a External Caller Rings Into the GDS System
8 GDS Hospitality Delay Operator Queues Operator Delay Announcement is available for incoming calls to the operator queue. Two messages are available, the first of which is used to say that the operator is busy. A second optional message can be used if the operator is still unavailable and the customer wants to indicate this to the outside caller. Operator delay announcement can be used if the console is busy or after a defined period of time whether the console is busy or not. This feature allows a organization to project a professional image to its customers by answering all calls with the operators voice within a certain time and having the caller hold listening to music on hold until someone is free to take the call. Callers are also more likely to stay on hold than they are if they are on the line listening to a persistent ringing. This result is less lost calls and more business concluded..
