2 Sicily Cultural-Culinary Adventure #1 Theme: Food + Wine + Culture (Siracusa Base) Duration: #8 nights / #9 days Day #1 - Sicily Arrival Day Group arrivals at the Catania Airport. Met and greeted by Private Driver for transfer (about 40 minutes) to Siracusa. Upon arrival guests will be checked-in at their accommodations in the Ortigia Historical Center of Siracusa, the historical center and cultural nucleus of this ancient city center. Day #2 - Ancient Siracusa / Welcome Dinner Depart with Private Driver for the Siracusa Archeological Park and Greek Theater (the largest in all of Ancient Greece) for Private Tour with Cultural Guide. Followed by a Pre-Dinner Passeggiata and Guided Tour in the Ortigia Historical center. Afterwards embark on a guided tasting tour of the Ortigia Outdoor Food Market, followed by Sicilian Cooking Class & Traditional Luncheon with Culinary Guide using fresh ingredients gathered on the market tour. Day #4 - Sicily Cheese Making Workshop + Luncheon This morning depart with your Culinary Guide for a traditional Sicilian Dairy Farm run by a local family. Here you will take a guided tour of the farm, make and taste your very own cheeses. Followed by a Country Luncheon served on site. Day #5 - Sicily Fishing Adventure + Luncheon Board a Traditional Sicilian Fishing Boat for a Mediterranean Sea Excursion passing along some of the most beautiful coastlines in Sicily including the Plemmirio + Vendicari Sea Reserves for swimming and fishing. A fresh fish luncheon will be prepared and served on board by a Private Chef, featuring the day s catch. Day #6 - Honey Tasting / Anapo Valley Bicycle Adventure + Luncheon Depart from Siracusa for a visit to a nearby Sicilian Honey Farm where you will be taught about the honey making process accompanied by a tasting of locally made honeys. Afterwards, depart for the Anapo Valley for a leisurely Bicycle Adventure through the Pantalica Greek Necropolis (UNESCO World Hertige Site) with an Outdoor Guide. Etna for a leisurely panoramic hike of some breath taking views from the largest and most active volcano in Europe. Followed by a visit to a local Dairy Farm for a traditional Sicily Cheese Tasting + Workshop and Rustic Country Luncheon. After lunch, private transfer to Palermo.
