3 Architecture London hasn t got any particular architecture like Paris. But we can see that Georgian houses are very common. What strikes most visitors in the city is probably its improbable jumble of styles and its broad vision of the mixture of genres.

4 Atmosphere London is a pleasant patchwork of towns, each with its style and its atmosphere. This is a cosmopolitan city where you can do what you want, in terms of spare-time activities and trips. You can wander around the typical markets like Camden or Covent Garden. The Bristish place is obviously English pubs where you can have a drink and spend good time with your friends.

5 Natural History Museum We went to the Natural History Museum. We visited a lot of rooms which deal with specific topics like mammals, dinosaurs, space. We had to choose between two topics : Genetics or Earth s evolution and we worked on it.

6 We attended a conference with a biologist. He explained to us how electronic microscope allows to understand the functioning of cells.

7 Buckingham Palace This is the place where the queen lives. In front of it, we can see a beautiful statue of Queen Victoria. The place is well guarded by policemen, on foot or riding horses.

8 They are accompanied by a brass band. Regularly we can see the changing of the guard.

12 Typical places of London Big Ben : The Houses of Parliament and Elizabeth Tower, commonly called Big Ben, are among London's most iconic landmarks. 13 Wellington Arch : Set in the heart of royal London, Wellington Arch was built as an original entrance to Buckingham Palace, later becoming a victory arch proclaiming Wellington's defeat of Napoleon. Crowned by the largest bronze sculpture in Europe, it depicts the Angel of Peace descending on the 'Quadriga' - or four-horsed chariot - of War. Red telephone box : Red telephone boxes which were designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and, along red post boxes and red London buses, are an instantly recognizable symbol of Britain. Red telephone boxes were introduced into the streets of London in It was only used in the capital and only a few were erected elsewhere under special circumstances. Picadilly circus fountain : The famous statue of Eros in Piccadilly Circus is one of the symbols of London. The sculptor is Alfred Gilbert RA. Underground : London Underground (also known as the Tube or simply the Undergournd) is a public rapid transit system serving a large part of Greater London.

14 Harrods : One of the world's most famous department stores in London's Knightsbridge. Harrods is a big store, wellknown of Londoners, we can find many products : clothes, accessories, cosmetics of good quality. Royal Albert Hall : Royal Albert Hall is a concert hall on the northern edge of South Kensington, London, best known for holding the Proms concerts annually each summer since Hide Park : One of the capital's eight Royal Parks. Hyde Park covers 350 acres and is home to a number of famous landmarks including the Serpentine Lake, Speaker s Corner and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain

16 We were journalists and we had to choose a subject we were interested in to work on it in pairs. So each of us could study something that he/she liked

17 We all became journalists for a few hours, and discovered a new way to learn sciences. During the visit, we saw different exhibitions for instance : the discovery of space with satellites and the reconstitution of some rockets. We also saw an exhibition about the evolution of transportation. The funniest thing was games about the brain and the five senses. Space, food, technology, DNA, brain, rockets, Einstein and genetics were the main subjects we studied in the group.

18 The life in the group In the group, we had awesome vibes! The trip was very interesting and fun!
