1 How to apply for Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) online This is a guide to help residents in Sollentuna county apply for SFI (Swedish for immigrants) You can apply for SFI if you fulfill the following requirements: registered resident in the county of Sollentuna, have Social Security number and if you are at least 16 years old. If you are an EU/EEA citizen or citizen of Switzerland and reside in Sollentuna you have the right to apply for SFI. The question is obligatory, you have to answer it. 11 Last year in Swedish for immigrants If you have studied SFI previously fill in what year you last attended. 12 Purpose of studying SFI Select why you want to study SFI. The options you can choose from are: for further studies, to get access to the labour market, a new job or new career, for my current profession or other reason. 5 13 Previous professional or work experiences Here you select what kind of profession you had before coming to Sweden. The question is obligatory, you have to answer. 14 Current occupation Here you choose what your occupation is today. You can choose between employed, unemployed, maternity leave or student. The question is obligatory, you have to answer it. 15 Current occupation Here you choose which profession you are working in today. If you don t have any occupation you select "not working. The question is obligatory, you must answer it

6 16 When to study Here you can choose when you want to study. Your options are: mornings, afternoons, evenings, Saturdays or Distance. The question is obligatory, you have to answer it. 17 Once you have selected when you want to study (as above) now you can choose which school and which location you want to study at. Here you will find a list of schools which offer SFI during the time of your choice. 7 19 Confirm and send your application Now you can press the box and confirm that the information you have given us in your application is correct. Then click the Send button. Now you have finished filling in the application. As soon as we get your application we will assign you your SFI level to begin at. This will be done based on your educational background. Then we will send your name to the school of your choice. After that the school will contact you within two weeks, by or SMS and let you know what day and what time to start the SFI If you are a resident in another county and want to study SFI in Sollentuna, you will have to download and complete this form. Click on the form print it out and fill in the application. Once you have filled in the application, you need to send it or take it to the Adult Education Centre in the county you are registered in. Your county decides if they are willing to pay for your SFI studies in Sollentuna. If they do you need to come to Kunskapsparken with your application signed and stamped by your county.
