3 Where WHERE IS THE UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS? What WHAT PROGRAMS DO WE OFFER? The University of Redlands is located on 160 acres in the city of Redlands (population 70,000), California. The spacious campus includes a unique blend of Greek, Spanish and Modern California architecture, hundreds of palm trees and red tile roofs. Overlooking the campus are the two highest mountains in Southern California, which rise to more than 3,352 meters. The University is just over an hour s drive from Los Angeles as well as Southern California s renowned coastal beaches and premier desert resorts. Our calendar features two traditional, four-month semesters followed by an optional, one-month May Term geared towards experiential study either on or off campus. Or take travel courses such as In Search of Helen of Troy to uncover Greece through the eyes of an archaeologist or Global Medical Ethics, which takes you to Sub-Saharan Africa to examine universal questions of integrity and conscience. The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) is dedicated to making your experience at the University of Redlands a successful one. Their services include a week-long international orientation for new students, assistance with cross-cultural adjustment and visa issues, airport pick up and programming throughout the year.
