1 MEDIATOR/ARBITRATOR RESUME Brad Lundeen I am an experienced attorney, mediator, and arbitrator. My abilities to listen, understand, and offer creative solutions make me an effective problem-solver. People believe my personality inspires hope, confidence, and trust, essential elements of a successful neutral. I have worked as a trial lawyer for over 25 years. My career began in a general practice law firm handling all types of civil and criminal jury trials. I gradually developed a clientele of large corporations and insurance companies for defense of injury and employment discrimination cases. After nearly two decades of defending corporations and insurance companies, I switched sides to represent plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home cases. I now am a full-time mediator and arbitrator. I also serve as a Judge Pro Tem in Maricopa County Superior and Justice Courts. As a Judge, I hear all types of civil and criminal cases in Justice Court. In Superior Court, I have been assigned many civil cases to conduct settlement conferences. I have also been appointed as a FINRA arbitrator for investment litigation and employment law disputes. Throughout my legal career, I participated in hundreds of trials, mediations and arbitrations. I saw all types of neutrals and learned from each one. I learned what worked in dispute resolution and what didn t work. Regardless which side I represented, I was always able to see the path to resolution of the dispute. I am now committed to helping others see that path and reach resolutions. I have received hundreds of hours of training in alternative dispute resolution and judicial training. I continue to improve my knowledge and skills through training and handling of court calendars, mediations and arbitrations every day. Professional Background I attended high school, college and law school in Minnesota. My legal career began after passing bar exams in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. I joined a law firm on the border between the states and practiced general civil and criminal litigation in both states. Within two years I made equal partner in the firm. I continued to work and build this law firm for 16 years before starting my own firm. In 2002 I moved to Arizona and passed the Arizona bar exam. I worked for the former firm of Bell O Connor and Campbell in Phoenix handling insurance defense, bad faith, and employment

2 law. In late 2004 I became a partner in The Goldwater Law Firm and later, Robert Goldwater & Associates. My practice involved representation of plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home cases. After many years of planning, I decided to pursue my goal of a full-time alternative dispute resolution business and in the fall of 2008, I created Trial Alternatives, Inc. I have supplemented my dispute resolution practice with work as a Judge Pro Tem. I have chaired arbitration panels and served in non-chair arbitrator positions. Practice Areas I have served as a neutral in many types of litigated and pre-litigated cases. My specialty areas include injury litigation, premises and professional liability, health care providers malpractice, nursing home and assisted living facility cases, and employment and workplace disputes. I also have experience in commercial/business litigation, construction defect cases, and insurance bad faith and coverage disputes.
