Cluster: Course Name: Course Description: Course Requirements: Recommended Equipment: Information Technology Research in IT Solutions (Two to Three Credits) In information technology, students gain advanced knowledge and skills in the application, design, production, implementation, maintenance, evaluation, and assessment of products, services, and technology concepts and standards are essential to prepare students for success in a technology-driven society. The critical thinking, information technology experience, and product development may be conducted in a classroom setting with an industry mentor, as an unpaid internship, or as career preparation. This course is recommended for students in Grade 12. Recommended prerequisite: a minimum of two high school information technology courses. Minimum Hardware/Software: Computer workstation 1:1, Classroom printer, Internet access, Programing, Application Software including: Word processing, Spreadsheet, Database, Presentation, and Web Design (Hardware specifications appropriate to software recommendations). Recommended Hardware/Software: Minimum Hardware/Software, Digital Camera(s), Scanner(s) and Computer microphone(s). Best Hardware/Software: Recommended Hardware/Software, Audio editing software, Video editing software, and Image editing software.
