1 BAT CAMPUS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM CONNECT - NETWORK - COLLABORATE - LEARN As a BAT Campus Ambassador you have joined a team of over 600 like-minded students from countries across Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas who are making the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) available to their peers and serving as the face and voice of Bloomberg on campus.
2 ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. ORGANIZE & PROCTOR Ambassadors are responsible for booking and proctoring all BAT sessions on their campus. (In the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, it is your responsibility to find a replacement proctor, and Dasha Sukovatitsyn with your replacement s name and contact information.) 2. PROMOTE Ambassadors are to engage with students, and form relationships with faculty and university staff (from multiple disciplines and levels of education) on campus to introduce and promote the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT). 3. CONNECT Ambassadors are expected to interact with the online BAT Ambassador community via the Bloomberg Student Ambassadors Facebook group to help find new ways to market the BAT on campus, share ideas and success stories, as well as identify challenges and potential solutions. Ambassadors are expected to reply to their Bloomberg Institute Representative in a timely manner, and communicate with their Team Leader on a regular basis. 4. NETWORK Ambassadors are carefully selected to be the face of Bloomberg L.P. on campus and are expected to behave and dress professionally in all manners of representing the Bloomberg brand and image. Ambassadors are to adhere to the university policies regarding promotion. Ambassadors are encouraged to demonstrate creativity in developing engaging marketing campaigns to create awareness of the BAT on campus. WHY? The BAT Campus Ambassador Program is designed to help students think and act strategically, develop professional skills, and enhance networking capabilities.
3 ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES GOALS, DATES & DEADLINES: The 2014/2015 Ambassador program runs from August 1 st, 2014 to June 30 th, Must submit Performance Plan to Bloomberg Institute Representative within 1 week of hire. Must attend training video conference call before semester begins. Must have 2 confirmed BAT sessions booked by September 8 th, 2014 (one session must be held in September; a second session must be held in October, November, or December) Must check in bi-weekly with Team Leader via . Must update Team Calendar bi-weekly with all promotional activities. Team Leader will send the link and instructions to access and update Team Calendar. Must attend a monthly team meeting to be conducted via WebEx. Team meetings will be led by Team Leaders. Must host at least two BAT sessions with 15 or more registrants, each semester. Must test 100 students on their campus during the academic year. Must hold position for entire duration of program. o o If any or all of these responsibilities are not met, Ambassadors will no longer be eligible for incentives, rehire within Bloomberg Institute, or renewal of role. Ambassadors will be reviewed on a monthly basis by Team Leader and University Representative. Team Leaders Only: o Must send bi-weekly update to Bloomberg Rep o Must have monthly phone call with Bloomberg Rep (before monthly team update call) o Must hold monthly update WebEx call with all team members
4 STEPS TO SUCCESS ON CAMPUS STEP 1: ARRANGE BAT SESSIONS ON CAMPUS Book a computer lab for three hours for each test session Provide the room booking details to your Bloomberg Institute Representative and include: University & Campus Date(s) and starting time(s) of the test Name, Location and Number of computers available in the room If you would like physical flyers: the amount of flyers you would like to have sent. Make sure you have attached the edited PDF flyer files to the . Your Bloomberg Institute Representative will enter these details into the system and create a test session for your university. If you have requested physical flyers, your Representative will order them to be printed and mailed to the address you provide to us in your Performance Plan. STEP 2: PROMOTE SESSIONS Now that your session is on the website, it s time to start promoting! Be creative and use your networking skills to help students realize the value of taking the test. You should have the below promotional materials. Power Point Presentation Test Session Blast Template Posters & Fliers Make sure you are utilizing multiple avenues to advertise your BAT sessions: Students: s, announcements in courses, flyers, social media, information sessions Professors/Administration: course integration, s, speak to during office hours Offices on campus: Career Services, International Relations Student Organizations: Business, Honors, Cultural, Economics
5 STEPS TO SUCCESS ON CAMPUS Ambassador Promotions in the UK and Turkey STEP 3: CONNECT WITH FELLOW AMBASSADORS Join the global Bloomberg Student Ambassador group: If you are encountering problems on campus during your BAT promotion, chances are that another ambassador elsewhere in the world has already encountered that same problem at some point. Get in touch with other ambassadors to discuss challenges and to find solutions. You may also find new creative ways to get mass participation in the BAT on campus. 6 STEPS TO SUCCESS ON CAMPUS STEP 4: PROCTOR YOUR SESSIONS Now that you have completed your promotion and have fully booked your BAT session, it s time to carry out the test. On the day of the test: Arrive 1 hour in advance to prepare Students will be instructed to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the test to check in and log into their profiles You will need to follow the proctoring instructions, provided in your Welcome Package. If you have any questions, call or Dasha Sukovatitsyn (M-F 9am 5pm EST). In the event of an emergency, please call the emergency number listed on proctoring instructions. Throughout proctoring the BAT, you should always appear and conduct yourself in a professional manner. You are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the test and must ensure a quiet and comfortable testing environment throughout the test.
7 INTERNATIONAL TEAM CHALLENGE At Bloomberg, we believe that innovation arises from a collaborative approach to working. Our Bloomberg BAT Campus Ambassador network spans all continents and consists of more than 600 smart, driven, and ambitious individuals. To give you the opportunity to enlarge your professional network exponentially and meet your fellow ambassadors from around the globe, we place you into teams with BAT Ambassadors from universities in your region. Together you are challenged to bring the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) to more students collectively than any other team. You are expected to work together to overcome challenges, come up with innovative ideas and even launch state-wide, country-wide, and intercontinental marketing campaigns! The BAT Campus Ambassador Program runs from August 1 st, 2014 to June 30 th, BLOOMBERG REPRESENTATIVE: Your point of contact for session bookings, questions related to sessions on your campus, and time-sensitive immediate updates The person you should connect with professors, faculty and staff of the university TEAM LEADER: Responsible for ensuring everyone on your team is pulling their weight Ensures the team reaches their overall targets and ranks competitively Provides feedback to Bloomberg Representative on team and ambassador performance Your point of contact for immediate answers related to marketing ideas, collaboration with team members, and updates TEAM MEMBERS: Your point of contact for generating new marketing ideas Work together to identify your overall team targets Collaborate and build your professional network NETWORK, COLLABORATE, BRING NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO YOUR CAMPUS AND OF COURSE HAVE FUN!!
8 INCENTIVES INDIVIDUAL INCENTIVES $75 per successful (15+ registrants) BAT session on campus, but if you have over 50 registrants $100 for the session FALL 1. 2 Computer Labs booked by September 8th Bloomberg Business Cards 2. 1 st informational session held (with photos of the info session) Free 4 month subscription to Bloomberg Briefs and Premium Item for yourself and to give away at your BAT Session (i.e Bloomberg Water bottle, umbrella, etc) Test Takers by December 31 st, 2014 Student s Guide to Terminal Functions Handbook SPRING 1. 2 nd informational session held (with photos of the info session) Premium Item for yourself and 3 to give away at upcoming test session (i.e. Bloomberg water bottle, umbrella, etc.) Test Takers by end of semester Resume critique and mock interview with Sales Team member at Bloomberg Institute TOP AMBASSADOR AWARDS GOLD (with 300 test taker minimum, only 1 ambassador): 2 hour lunch with Bloomberg Institute CEO, Rob Langrick (travel expenses up to $600 included) or a $500 AMEX gift card SILVER (with 200 test taker minimum) - $300 AMEX Gift Card BRONZE (with 150 TT minimum) - $200 AMEX Gift Card
