2 My career with Calibre began as a new staff right out of college in 2001 and I joined the Partnership in January I knew Calibre was the absolute perfect on-site visit - the people, the work, and the clients. It just felt like home. We and encourage employees to prioritize their family obligations over work demands. Growth and Development We are a NASBA registered provider of continuing professional education programs. in a classroom setting covering both technical and non-technical topics throughout the year for all departments. Employees also regularly attend outside training sessions and conferences to ensure that they are staying on the forefront of industry updates. Social and Community Involvement We have an active Social Committee and Calibre Cares Committee to provide employees with opportunities to serve the a large portion of our client base. We also encourage employees to spend time with their co-workers outside of work at our monthly social events. Past events include outings to Washington Nationals baseball games, bowling in Chinatown, boat cruises, picnics at the National Zoo, blind wine tastings, and holiday parties at the Congressional Country Club. paid time off needed to keep employees healthy and motivated. Calibre also offers a generous amount of paid time off to study for and sit for the exam. We pay for your AICPA membership as well as one state society membership. We provide a generous number of paid vacation days, in addition to the holidays, sick time and personal days. We have optional Saturdays during busy season as well as a compressed week during the summer.
3 I started my career with Calibre as a Staff Auditor out of college and am now a Senior Auditor. From day one, it was easy to see the passion that the Partners have for their clients and this Firm way down to the Staff level. Every week at Calibre is different, and I wouldn t have it any other way. - James, CPA, Senior Auditor Mentoring and Coaching Our Mentoring and Coaching Program is centered around an individual employee s goals and needs. Mentors are typically assigned to no more than three employees, ensuring each employee has plenty of one-on-one attention. The program is open to all mentor will be. We understand that every employee is different, and our priority is to provide them with the right resource to meet their individual career goals. Mentor meetings can take place in casual settings or formal settings. The Coaching aspect of our program is designed to provide the technical skills and training needed for an employee to succeed in their current position as well as the resources needed to make sure they are ready for the next level in their career. Coaches differ depending on the department, and their focus is mainly on shorter-term on-the-job skills. The Coaching program is closely tied to our training program to ensure employees have the training needed to succeed in their coaching plans. Teams Assurance Our auditors work on a variety of different client engagements. Our client base consists of a wide variety of associations and enterprises. In addition to traditional audit engagements, we also perform royalty audits and forensic audit services. Our quality of work is consistently outstanding as noted in the highest ratings we receive in our peer reviews. We offer personalized service where client relationships are key in the Assurance department, and those skills are instilled in our Auditors beginning on day one. Payroll Compliance The Payroll Compliance Audit team travels across the continental United States and Hawaii performing payroll compliance audits for the country with a national payroll audit program in place. Our staff of auditors, who solely conduct payroll audits, have performed thousands of audits using our proprietary Calibre Compliance Audit Program (CCAP). We look for talented individuals with thoroughly training each auditor to ensure they have the tools needed to perform at their highest ability from the Staff up to the Director level.
4 Accounting & Financial Services Our AFS team provides reliable and effective outsourced throughout the United States. Each team member from the entrylevel Staff to Partner level plays a unique role in supplementing our clients existing internal accounting department. The AFS internal accounting team as well as with a variety of clients in diverse roles. Our employees are trained to provide a variety of services including CFO/Controllership duties, audit preparation, preparation. Tax Preparation/Planning/Compliance Our team of tax professionals specialize in a variety of challenging areas for thousands of unique clients. Our tax planning services are wide-ranging, from working with individuals on their tax compliance to assisting start-ups with the selection of the optimum business tax forms, to researching IRS private letter rulings and tax code interpretations. We understand that tax laws are constantly evolving so we stay abreast of all the new laws and train our staff exempt entities and individual taxpayers.
