3 Introduction and Getting Started OfficeSuite CRM Connector is a PC application that connects your OfficeSuite Mitel desk set with your CRM system. It allows them to communicate so that you can make calls directly from your CRM system, including having incoming call screen pop-ups and automatic call logging. There are two parts to the application that you have to install and configure: 1) The first step is to install the OS CRM Connector application. 2) The second step of the process is to configure your specific CRM - including screen pop-ups, call logging, and so forth to work with SalesForce.com. Configuration depends on the CRM you are using. 4 Installing OfficeSuite CRM Connector 1. Open an internet browser, for example, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome. The procedures in this document were written using Internet Explorer; the procedures may vary using other browsers. 2. Enter the following URL in the address line: 3. Press Enter. You are prompted to either Run or Save the file OfficeSuite CRMConnector.msi. 3) Choose Run. 4. You may be prompted to download and install.net. When the download is complete, you are prompted Run or Don t Run the OfficeSuiteCRMConnector.msi. 5. Choose Run. The installation returns the OfficeSuite CRM Setup Installation Wizard. 6. Click Next >. 2

5 The wizard returns the License agreement dialog. 7. Choose I Agree and click Next >. The wizard returns the Options dialog, which allows you to choose whether you want to automatically launch OfficeSuite CRM Connector at Start-Up. 8. Leave the box checked if you want the application to launch at start-up; otherwise, uncheck it. The wizard returns the Select Installation Folder dialog. 9. If the default folder displayed is acceptable, click Next. Otherwise, click Browse, choose a folder, and click Next. 3

6 The wizard returns the Confirm Installation dialog. 10. Click Next. The wizard returns the Installing OfficeSuite CRM Connector dialog. A new dialog, License & Registration, appears. 11. Enter the required fields and enter your license key. 4

7 12. Click Register Now. When the registration is complete, the Installation Wizard returns the Installation Complete dialog. 13. Leave Run OfficeSuite CRM Connector now checked, and click Close. 5

8 Configuring OfficeSuite CRM Connector After successfully completing the OfficeSuite CRM Connector installation, you must configure the application to work with OfficeSuite. The following steps detail the configuration process. When OS CRM Connector is running there will be a small window with a Broadview branded search area, beside it will be a phone and magnifying glass icons. This is the OfficeSuite CRM Connector application running on your computer. The rightmost arrow is the Main Menu of the application. 1. Click the rightmost arrow and from the pop-up window click Settings Under Content in the top-left corner of the window, click Add/Edit Phones. 3. Under Softphone Connection, enter the following fields: a. Enter your OfficeSuite four digit extension number in the Directory Number field. b. Enter your OfficeSuite password in the User password field. c. Enter your Authorization User name, which is your OfficeSuite four digit extension. d. Enter your Display Name, which is your OfficeSuite four digit extension. e. Enter the IP address you are connected to in the Server name or IP address field. Obtain your IP address from your Tenant Administrator. 6

9 4. Click Test. A dialog appears and a connectivity test to your silhouette is executed. A message should appear at the bottom of the window stating Successfully connected to the SIP provider. Click OK to close the test dialog. 5. Click OK to close the Configuration OfficeSuite CRM Connector window. OfficeSuite CRM Connector is now ready to use. Note: During the configuration, Windows may prompt you for your Location Information with a dialog similar to the following one. Enter the information in the following and click OK. 7

10 Accessing the Application To access the application, right click in the toolbar and select Toolbars > OfficeSuite CRM Connector. The application opens in your toolbar. 8
