2 Backup Wizard Default Interface Recovery Wizard Online Backup and Recovery Manager Setup Backup Wizard After installing and launching the Online and backup Recovery Manager (OBRM), you will be prompted to choose between a Regular account, UltraSafe account and UltraSafe Max account.

3 Regular Backup account o Regular backup accounts allow for secure backup while enabling users to recover a password if they forget or lose it. UltraSafe Backup account o UltraSafe backup accounts allow for secure backup while setting a double blind encryption on your password. Please note that if you lose your backup account password it cannot be retrieved, as there is no method of retrieval. UltraSafe Max backup accounts are similar to UltraSafe backup accounts, however, it takes security a setup further by allowing the end user to set the encryption password for the account. Once you choose your backup account type, the wizard will prompt you to configure your first backup. While the wizard defaults you to Do not scan, enabling you to create a custom backup set, you may allow the software to manually Scan all folders as well, to automate the backup selection. TIP It is recommended that the user manually pick files for the most efficient and custom backup.

4 Clicking Next will move the wizard forward into the File Browser mode. Here, you will check boxes next to files and folders for you backup. Please note that as you check boxes, the used space meter grows, extending a green bar toward the left, capacity line, indicating both how much data is selected and what capacity limits for this account are. Once the software has completed indexing the backup set, the Next button will be clickable. Click it to proceed. You will be presented with various settings. See the diagram below to customize your backup schedule, permissions and reports.

5 1. Here you are presented with three options. a. Back up at the end of this wizard. i. This initiates a backup as soon as the wizard completes. b. Back up automatically without user intervention. i. This creates a scheduled task using the Windows Task Scheduler. This will ensure that the backup software will run automatically. c. Back even when Windows user is not logged on. i. This enables the software to both run as a service and provides. application permissions. 1. Running the software as a service allows you, the user to not have to think about the software as it will run automatically in the background. 2. Assigning higher level permissions to file sets ensures that the software has the access rights it needs to backup personal documents. 2. Frequency and Schedule. a. This defines how often the software runs.

6 3. Timing a. Determines exact time the software runs. 4. Backup Reports a. Defines the address for report delivery. 5. Finish a. Close the wizard and save changes. Default Interface Completing the wizard will result in the software loading the default user interface. 1. Used Space a. This shows you how much space you have allocated and how much space you have used.

7 2. View / Restore a. This allows users to view and restore the backed up data. 3. Wrench Button a. The Wrench Button allows users to change their backup set. 4. Backup Now a. This forces the software to run, immediately. 5. Menu a. This is used for advanced options and configuration. Recovery Wizard Clicking the View / Recover button will launch the recovery interface.

8 Simply right clicking any folder or file will pop up a context menu. Within this menu, you may be presented with two options: Recover and Delete. To dig deeper into a backup set, simply click the plus sign to the left of any folder to expand the folder. Highlighting a folder will display its contents on the pane to the right. Clicking Recovery via the context menu will launch the Recovery window. Simply restore to a default location (shown in the wizard) or choose a new location. Confirm by clicking OK.
