1 POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Human Resources Officer Date: Feb 2013 Department: Human Resources Sub department: HR ANZ Location: Sydney Reports to: Human Resources Manager ANZ Direct Reports: Nil Size of role: Position code: Position level: Geographic scope: ANZ Primary focus on the Australian workforce of approximately 400 employees and provides services across ANZ. Critical relationships: Human Resources and Payroll team, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Employees. Overall job purpose: The role will be responsible for managing a number of HR transactional activities and providing solid HR advice and support to leaders and employees in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, reward, performance management and health and safety. The role will contribute to continually improving the value of HR s contribution to the business. The Human Resources Officer also provides support to the Human Resources Manager, ANZ and the Executive Director, HR as directed. KEY RESULT AREAS 1 Manage all HR transactional activities and deliver a business focused service. Generate all employment contracts and send New hire packs Manage the employee referral program for ANZ. Manage all employment contracts and packs. Manage all amendments to existing staff conditions of employment. Manage and monitor probation periods. Organise collation of data and assist with generating reports. Ensure personnel files are in place for each employee and effectively maintained Provide HRIS training to all employees where relevant. Administrative support for HRIS Identifying, recommending and driving (where appropriate) process efficiencies. Assist in the implementation of training programs. Servicing the needs of your local client group in a pro-active and professional manner. All changes to employment conditions documented and sent to the employee and payroll within 48 hours of receiving all required and accurate information. 100% of probation reviews sent to management three (3) weeks in advance of expiry date. Ensure Personnel Files are opened within a month of hire. Inform Helpdesk of resignation by the 1 st. All other HR related letters to be processed within a week of receipt of request. 30% 2 Contribute to our EVP, sourcing, recruitment, orientation, and organisational exit programs. Ensure Employee Requisition and Employee Details Forms are approved prior to hiring. Responsible for working with the Hiring Managers for all recruitment related activities for ANZ, including the placement of advertisements on Staff CV 1 100% of requisitions managed appropriately, recorded accurately, receiving correct approval where appropriate 100% of advertisements accurately posted on internet or in press as 30%

2 Maintain Staff CV for ANZ. Develop, evaluate and improve our career website, ensuring that the content is always up to date and is appealing to potential candidates. Actively contribute to the development of our Employee Value Proposition in the market. Represent and/or co-ordinate representation at Career Expo s Establish a valuable present at universities, ensuring that we have an avenue to recruit talent Create and conduct training programs for recruitment and selection Identify internal and external recruitment sources and implement selected recruitment methods; for example LinkedIn Own the orientation program, running regular sessions throughout the year, regularly evaluate and make improvements to orientation and on-boarding processes for new hire, rehires and transfers. Ensure employment information is up to date and available for all new employees, for example employment fact sheets. Send out to all departing employees, follow up with a phone call to organise time for an exit interview and conduct all exit interviews, ensuring that the information is entered into the exit survey. requested by Manager Career website is up to date. Coordinate the annual salary review process for the Australian business. Advise managers on remuneration ranges and out of cycle reviews. Ensure accurate transfer of remuneration information to payroll. Coordinate the Star Award program Coordinate the Shooting Star Reward program, ensuring adequate stock and nominations are implemented in a timely manner Years of service reporting and coordinate service anniversary awards Contribute to the review of reward and recognition programs and make recommendations for improvement 5 Ownership of programs, procedures, and policies that ensure a safe and healthy working environment. Ensure that workplace health and safety activities are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations. Conduct needs analysis to identify the organisations safety requirements Develop/select and implement/administer health & safety programs. Own the establishment, co-ordination, facilitation and compliance of the OHS Committee, ensuring that it meets the legislative obligations that exist in each location. Ensure that Company OH&S policies and procedures are Remuneration activities are managed in accordance with the relevant legislation and company policies.
