Our benefits package offers everything you d expect, like health insurance and vacation pay; plus much more. Whether you are saving for retirement or trying to provide the best life for your family, our benefits have been designed to help you achieve an optimal work-life balance. Health Insurance Life Insurance Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, hearing, vision, and dental coverage is available to all regular full-time salaried exempt, non-exempt and hourly (non-bargaining) employees, with affordable premiums. A basic Group Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy is provided for each eligible enrolled employee at no cost; and supplemental benefits are available for employees and family members. Will preparation* and probate services* are also available. *Conditions apply. Short and Long-Term Disability Short-term disability coverage is provided to eligible employees who are disabled as a result of non-occupational illness or accident (occupational diseases and injuries are covered under the various states workers compensation laws). Long-term disability coverage is provided for all eligible enrolled employees in the case of total disability and after expiration of Company-provided short-term disability coverage. Business Travel Accident Insurance Vacation/ Holidays 401(k) Plan Flexible Spending Accounts Employee Assistance Plan Tuition Payback Business Travel Accident Insurance (BTAI) is provided at no cost and provides a benefit payment in case of death or dismemberment, helps if documents are lost or stolen, aids in protecting credit, provides assistance in getting home, assists with medical emergencies while traveling for work, offers medical and dental referrals and facilitates payment for services. If an employee is injured during business travel, the insurance will cover medical evacuation and repatriation. Vacation time is essential for maintaining strong physical and emotional health, and we offer a generous vacation schedule that increases with employment tenure. We recognize that there are special days employees want to spend with family and friends. Eligible full-time employees celebrate paid holidays. Employees can contribute on a combined pre-tax and/or Roth basis and the Company will match up to 6% of an employee s eligible compensation. Employees are immediately 100% vested in the company match. The Company may make an annual, pre-tax, discretionary profit sharing contribution, which is on a five-year graded vesting schedule to reward longevity. Eligible employees can elect to participate in a health care flexible spending account and/or a dependent care flexible spending account. These programs allow employees to set aside funds, pre-tax, for eligible health care and/or dependent care expenses. This personal counseling service offers free, confidential resources for advice regarding emotional, family/ personal, work or risk-related issues, legal and financial matters, child/elder care services as well as community referrals that provide for a variety of life situations. Reimbursement is available for qualifying classes or degree programs that help to advance your professional development. Professional Development To help you reach your career goals, we provide funds for employees to attend conferences and training, purchase career-related books and materials; and cover fees for memberships in professional organizations (limits apply). Family Leave Employee Purchase Discounts The Company provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave to eligible employees for incapacity due to qualifying personal or family medical needs. Employees may be eligible for short-term disability (salary continued) benefits during a qualified leave. Exclusive discount pricing is available to employees on new Ford and Chrysler vehicles, Dell computers and Verizon wireless services. Unless you ve worked in this industry for a while, it may be difficult to grasp the wow factor in what we do, or see that it makes a difference in peoples lives...every day. Every time you flip a switch or turn a dial, you tap into the energy that is powered by the transmission lines, substations and distribution systems we create that ensure millions of Americans can reap the benefits of reliable and secure electrical networks and systems. We take these benefits for granted, and don t invest a lot of thought into the reliability of our electrical sources. Yet, most of us have experienced what life is like when the power has gone out. Whether we have been without it for an hour or several days, the impacts are paralyzing and can sometimes be devastating. It s only when the effects of massive storms and blackouts disrupt our power supply that we realize how dependent we are on it for living our lives. Without continued investments to improve our nation s infrastructure, the more our power supply is at risk. MYR Group was instrumental in delivering electricity to Americans for the very first time, by building a significant portion of our nation s first infrastructure. Today, it is imperative that many of these systems be replaced, upgraded or expanded in order to meet the future power demands of our nation. When our crews perform restoration work, primarily due to storm damage, they work around the clock in hazardous and less than desirable conditions to ensure that people are able to get back to life as they know it. In these times, our crews are admired and regaled as heroes, as the benefits associated with the work we do become most apparent.
