Students will learn the ropes of business management and how to be nimble to stay ahead in this global economy. There will be a strong global and entrepreneurial focus throughout the study, and will have hands-on experience with a host of programs designed to simulate real business environments and challenges. The area of specialization will offer an added advantage for many positions. 2 marketing research, advertising, the management and/or development of human capital. Not only the theoretical learning, the students will be given the opportunities to apply skills and knowledge to work-related contexts, assignments and case studies. The curriculum of this programme requires the students to participate in the soft skill assessments activities for leadership, decision making skill, critical thinking skill, problem solving skill, presentation skill, initiative skill, time management, teamwork, communication skill, willingness to learn and selling skill through participation of case study discussion, classroom discussion, writing assignment, so that they can apply and reflect the soft skills in the learning process. Thus, on top of the academic qualification, integration of soft skills assessment will excel the students to achieve a successful career in a challenging world today. The students are required to complete a total of 4 modules: 1. Principles of Management: Module Aims This course has been developed to promote an understanding and describe the features and purposes of managers and management environment, explain the foundation of planning and decision making, Understand and describe the feature of organization design, Staffing and HRM, Managing change stress and innovation. Examine the influences of Leading in foundations of Group and Individual behavior, undertaking work teams, motivating and rewarding employees, leadership and trusts and communication and inter personal skills. Explain the importance of controlling as in the foundations of controlling, and understanding operations management. Expected Learning Outcomes Upon completion of the course it is expected that students will be able to: 1. Understand and describe the features and purposes of managers and management environment 2

Examine the influences of leading 5. Explain the importance of controlling and understanding operations management 2. Human Resource Management: This course has been developed to promote an understanding and describe the features and purposes of Human Resource management, outlines defenses against discrimination allegations, explains how to design and develop an HR system that supports the company s strategic goals. The uses of job analysis information and the methods of conducting a job analysis are detailed, tools for managing careers. It Explores issues, policies, and problems related to ethics, fair treatment, discipline and termination of employees, outlines some of the HR problems and issues involved with international businesses. Expected Learning Outcomes Upon completion of the course it is expected that students will be able to: 1. Explain what human resource management is and how it relates to the management process. 2. Cite the main features of at least five employment discrimination laws. 3. Define and discuss diversity management. 4. Outline the steps in the strategic management process 5. Discuss the nature of job analysis, including what it is and how it s used. 6. Explain job analysis in a jobless world, including what it means and how it s done in practice. 3

Explain the basic facts about OSHA. 12. List the HR challenges of international business. 3. Principles of Marketing: This course has been developed to promote an understanding of key concepts of marketing management as it applies to today s organizations. Students will be exposed to the different frameworks of studying marketing with its process and marketing management with environment and information for gaining customer value. Topics covered include the new product development, pricing products, and marketing channels, building customer relationship creating competitive advantage in global market and marketing ethics and social responsibility. Expected Learning Outcomes Upon completion of the course it is expected that students will be able to: 1. Explain marketing strategy partnering to build customer relationship. 2. Understanding the market place and consumers. 3. Designing a customer driven marketing strategy and Marketing mix. 4. understand marketing channels and delivering customer value 5. Explain sustainable marketing with social responsibility and Ethics. 6. Provide solution in creating competitive advantage. 4. Business Communication: 4

5 This module has been developed to promote an understanding of key concepts of business communication as it applies to today s organizations. Students will be exposed to the different frameworks of studying and understanding foundation of business communication and apply three step writing process for crafting brief message for reporting and oral presentation. Expected Learning Outcomes Upon completion of the course it is expected that students will be able to: 1. Explain the foundation of business communication. 2. Demonstrate and understanding the three step writing process. 3. Outline and apply crafting brief message in business communication. 4. Provide solutions by preparing formal and informal reports and oral presentation. 5. Demonstrate and understand writing employment message and interviewing for jobs. The students will be issued an International Diploma in Business Certificate after the completion of 4 modules.
